Our Spiritual Beliefs
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God written by holy men of God as they were inspired by God’s Holy Spirit. We believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, one God manifested in three persons. God is our Creator, making us into His image. Jesus is the Son of God and was sent to the earth to redeem mankind from his sins so man would not go to hell. As people come to the Lord in repentance for their sin and receive Jesus as their Savior, he becomes a born again person, now having a new spirit – the Spirit of God living inside of him.
This gives eternal life to the new believer, and as they grow and walk with God on a daily basis, they will grow up in spiritual matters and learn from God’s word how to live a transformed life with the help of the Holy Spirit. We believe in water baptism to show by immersion that the new believer, as a direct commandment of the Lord Jesus, identifies with Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Holy Spirit baptism occurs after one is born again. This is where the new believer asks the Father God to receive His Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Once baptized with by the Holy Spirit and fire, the new believer is empowered to do the works of Jesus as they are led by His Spirit.
We understand that according to Jesus, He will come again to the earth as He departed the first time.
We believe in divine healing. While the Lord may use many means in which to heal a person, we understand that all healing comes from God alone by His Spirit.
We believe that the born-again believer is called to walk by faith and not by sight and grow up to become a doer of the word of God and share the love of God in every area where they are called.
